Eucharistic Adoration is when the Holy Eucharist is placed in a sacred vessel—the Monstrance—designed to elevate Jesus in the Sacred Host, so that people may look upon and adore Him. At St. Catherine Church, Eucharistic Adoration takes place every weekday and Saturday starting one hour before Daily Mass. On Fridays, Eucharistic Adoration begins after the Friday morning Mass and continues till 5:00 PM.
Adoration is our response to Jesus' love for us, whereby each person is willing to spend a holy hour of prayer in His Eucharistic Presence. Each moment that you spend in His Eucharistic Presence will increase His Divine Life within you and deepen your personal relationship with Him.
“Whenever I go to the chapel, I put myself in the presence of our good Lord, and I say to him, ‘Lord, I am here. Tell me what you would have me to do’ . . . And then, I tell God everything that is in my heart. I tell him about my pains and my joys, and then I listen. If you listen, God will also speak to you, for with the good Lord, you have to both speak and listen. God always speaks to you when you approach him plainly and simply.” – St. Catherine Labouré
