Saint John Paul II’s Theology of the Body presents a beautiful vision of human sexuality and personhood. It has revolutionized the way parents and educators teach morality to teens, providing the “whys” behind the “whats,” and paving the way to true freedom and happiness. Years after he wrote it, his vision is all the more relevant in today’s world, where teens are receiving so many differing viewpoints about sex, love, and their bodies.
Because we recognize that this is a critical and sensitive topic, we are inviting all parents as well as other adults who desire to learn more about what we will be teaching the youth to a meeting on Sunday 8/20 from 9:15am to 10:15am the Social Hall . We will provide more information about the program developed by Ascension Press and take registration so we can order enough materials for the first session which begins on Wednesday 8/30 at 5:30pm to 8pm.
Each Wednesday night that we cover another Theology of the Body session for Middle and High School, we will also offer a third class for adults at the same time (about once per month). We recognize that all adults can benefit from this profound insight that Saint John Paul II gave us about the meaning and purpose of our whole person, body and soul.
The High School program called You: Life, Love, and the Theology of the Body is an exciting and dynamic program which is inspired by John Paul II’s vision. The Middle School program is called Theology of the Body for Middle School Teens.
