Dress Code / Modesty Policy

In adhering to our mission of forming the whole child in union to the Three Sacred Hearts of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we strive to maintain an environment of modesty with our dress that preserves and supports each child’s dignity they are given by God and that encourages academic focus. 

• GIRLS:  may wear uniform-style skirts, scooters, jumpers or dresses, with a hem no higher than 2 inches above the knee.  Dresses and skirts must be solid-colored and must have sleeves, collar or a style of a crew-neckline.  Solid-colored leggings may be worn underneath skirts. 

• ALL STUDENTS:   

• short- or long-sleeved, solid-colored polo or oxford (i.e., collared) shirts. 

• may wear uniform style pants – or Bermuda shorts in warm weather – in khaki, navy or black colors. 

• Closed-toed shoes only.  No “light up” shoes. 

• No athletic clothing or denim.  No hats are permitted indoors; hats may be worn outside.  

• Sweaters must be solid-colored with no logos, emblems nor messages written on them.  

• Wear and tear are understandable, but no holes in clothing! 

• Encouraged / Optional: Three Hearts Academy Polo shirts are available for purchase in the St. Catherine’s Gift Shop:  $20 children’s sizes, $25 adult sizes.

Our Tutors should model innocence and respect for the children . Given this high calling we ask that every Tutor or parent-volunteer follow these guidelines. Clothing should be dressy or dressy casual. No jeans, athletic clothing allowed, and only Bermuda shorts in warm weather.  

Female Tutors  

Skirts or dresses must reach enough below the knee to cover the knees while sitting. Skirts or dresses must fit loosely and should not be see-through.   

Shirts should be loose fitting and cover the shoulders completely. No sleeveless shirts or shirts with openings or holes anywhere on the shirt allowed. Necklines should extend down no further than two fingers form the collarbone. Shirts should not be see-through. Pants should fit loosely, no tight-fitting, stretch, slim or “skinny” pants or pants with holes or openings. Shoes should be flat, no tall shoes or heels. Open toe sandals, athletic shoes that are in good condition, clogs and ankle boots are permitted. No tall boots or flip-flops.   

Male Tutors  

Pants should be loose-fitting, no slim-fit, stretch or “skinny” pants. No holes or openings. Shirts should be loose fitting with only top button unfastened. No sleeveless shirts allowed. Athletic shoes in good condition are acceptable.
